The challenge
Failure of the BOP hoists on the jack-up rig
At the start of the project, the customer was facing a critical situation: two BOP hoists from a competitor had failed on a jack-up rig. Spare parts were not available, and the service provided by the previous supplier did not meet expectations. The equipment had already been dismantled, and the operation of the rig was at risk. A reliable replacement solution had to be found at short notice to restore the rig’s operational readiness.

Efficient collaboration for a tailor-made hoisting solution
The collaboration between the customer, J.D. Neuhaus (JDN) and ElectroMech was efficient and solution-oriented. After a quick analysis, all technical requirements were clearly defined. The proposed EH60 monorail hoist impressed with its performance and adaptability to the specific requirements of the jack-up rig.
