The challenge
Safe and reliable: Hoists in the sensitive environment of nuclear power plants
In the uncontrolled zone of a nuclear power plant—an area located outside the direct vicinity of radioactive materials or radiation sources—strict requirements apply to lifting equipment.
Although there is no immediate risk of radiation in these zones, it is still crucial that the safety and reliability of the lifting equipment are guaranteed. This is the only way to maintain and ensure the long-term smooth operation of the entire plant. Errors or failures could pose significant safety risks and compromise the operation of the nuclear power plant.

The project
Collaborating for a Goal: Customized Lifting Technology for Sensitive Applications
Even in the uncontrolled zone of a nuclear power plant, hoists are indispensable for handling heavy loads such as machinery, materials, and equipment. Their precise and safe functioning contributes significantly to the efficiency and safety of the facility.
To meet the specific requirements of the customer, we implemented the project in close collaboration with the power plant’s mechanical engineering department. In doing so, we analyzed and coordinated not only the technical but also the safety-related requirements in detail. This allowed us to develop customized solutions that seamlessly integrate into existing operational processes, thereby ensuring both efficiency and safety in the long term.
The solution
PROFI series convinces at the power plant: Efficiency, safety, and reliability combined
Thanks to close collaboration with the customer and careful planning, we installed pneumatic hoists from the PROFI product series.
These are specially designed for the demanding conditions of a nuclear power plant and offer lifting capacities of 2 tons and 10 tons.
