They are in use in more than 70 different sectors, and particularly in demand in the oil and gas exploration and processing sectors, in mining, the chemical industry, heavy plant construction as well as many areas of logistics.

Thanks to this globally unique specialisation, we are not only recognised experts in this field, but also the world market leader with customers in more than 90 countries around the globe.

The Integrated Management System (IMS) at J.D. Neuhaus

To strive for continual improvement is an essential part of the business strategy of J.D. Neuhaus. According to the life and work philosophy propounded by “Kaizen”, optimising processes in leaps and bounds is not the route to success; doing so in stages is.

Every year, JDN invests in its employees, workplaces and the working environment. An integrated management system (IMS) forms the framework for all the economic, ecological and social decisions that the company makes, as well as their implementation and the monitoring of their effects. The system links together all the processes within the organisation, from planning and design through to manufacturing and service. The quality and environmental management aspects of the IMS are audited regularly. They comply with international standards – DIN EN ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environment). One of the most important commitments of J.D. Neuhaus management is to promote awareness, openness and a sense of responsibility among employees in order to establish conditions favourable to the practical and day-to-day implementation of these guidelines.

The work of the QIP team is one example of the quality philosophy of JDN. The abbreviation QIP stands for “Quality in our Processes”. An internal, cross-departmental working group is tasked with detecting errors in processes, reporting them and eliminating their causes, with the aim of permanently reducing the total error rate. The result is then documented and distributed throughout the company. Every employee at JDN is requested to suggest potential areas of improvement to the QIP team.

Quality management systems

DIN EN ISO 9001

Our certified quality management system has been offering our customers the security of verifiable, planned and consistent quality since 1991. This can only be guaranteed if the entire lifecycle, from development of the product and purchasing of raw materials to production and sale is precisely planned, controlled and documented on the basis of a quality manual. All this is done to achieve our objective of detecting and preventing errors at an early stage.

Every member of staff, from trainee to managing director, is equally responsible for product quality in their area of activity. Accepting this responsibility necessitates an ongoing training program in which product and market requirements, as well as processes and production techniques, are explained.

Environmental management systems

ISO 14001

J.D. Neuhaus is especially keen to play its part in providing lasting protection for the environment. Executive Management therefore focuses in both an economic and ecological sense on the requirements of an environmentally-friendly company policy Environmental protection is a management task. Management stipulates that audits be held regularly to ensure that these requirements are being met and that continuous improvement measures are being implemented. All applicable environmental legislation and requirements, together with any provisions laid down by the authorities, must be complied with at all times.

During the development and manufacture of products, JDN pays particular attention to their durability and recyclability and the use of environmentally-friendly materials and processes. Every product is accompanied by information relating to emissions and disposal. All processes are designed to save energy and water and to generate as little waste and emissions as possible.

It is a stated aim of JDN that all employees understand what is meant by environmental protection, are receptive to it and act accordingly in a responsible manner. Training courses on this subject are part and parcel of the working day for the entire team. The state-of-the-art technology employed by the company helps to continually improve our processes.

Industrial safety

The safety of our employees at their place of work is the highest priority in the management of industrial safety. This is founded on the relevant trade association and government regulations. The aim is to eliminate all accidents at the workplace and fires. At regular intervals, Executive Management carries out audits and examines the appropriate figures to check that the industrial safety system is delivering the desired results.

It is the task of all managers at JDN to promote a sense of responsibility for industrial safety among their staff. Courses are held regularly to ensure that the entire team appreciates what is required. The best possible level of industrial safety within the company is achieved through an open dialogue between Executive Management, the workforce and the public authorities.
