Last weekend, we celebrated our 277th company anniversary with our employees and their families at a JDN Family Day on our company premises in Witten.
The day included exciting activities and plenty of variety for young and old alike. In addition to various activity modules spread across the company premises, employees and their families were able to take part in various guided tours throughout the day. The tour of our in-house museum village offered the opportunity to learn about the history of lifting first-hand and gain an insight into production in the early days. For example, forging was also carried out in our original forge on this day.
The tour of the production halls gave those present a good insight into everyday working life at J.D. Neuhaus. And our beekeeper, who looks after our four bee colonies, provided an insight into the ecosystem of bees. Various food trucks and a café in our museum village provided culinary delights. One visitor described it as follows: “The great organization, the many activities, the delicious food—nothing was left to be desired! Even the rain showers couldn’t dampen the good mood. You can really tell that JDN is a family business, and so it was a real family day.” “The guided tours were a great opportunity to teach my family about the history of the company and give them an insight into my everyday work,” said one employee.
“It was a great pleasure to celebrate our 277th anniversary with our employees and their families. Together, we braved the rain and showed once again that we at JDN are a team that doesn’t let itself get easily rattled.”
