JDN maintains tradition: The “Old Bones Club” has met again in 2025
Witten, 2025 – J.D. Neuhaus GmbH & Co. KG continues its long-standing tradition of maintaining close contact with former employees even after they have retired. For decades, the family-owned company has invited members of the “Klub der Alten Knochen” (Club of Old Bones) – a community of former JDN employees – to an annual meeting.
The club was founded in 1989, when a group of newly retired employees gave themselves the name “Der Klub der Alten Knochen” (The Old Bones Club). Since then, colleagues who retire after often decades of service have been welcomed into this special circle. The club now has over 60 members, which impressively reflects the strong bond between the workforce and the company.
The traditional gathering took place again in 2025. The management welcomed the participants to a company tour, a communal kale dinner, and a convivial exchange over drinks. Every year, these gatherings provide an opportunity for valuable discussions about the past, present, and future of the family business.
Gitta Neuhaus-Galladé, managing partner in the eighth generation, explains:
“Of course, we will uphold and continue this tradition. The stories from the past are always special and also explain why some things are the way they are at our company.”
The annual meeting of the “old bones” underscores the importance of togetherness at JDN – a sign of the continuity, appreciation, and close bonds that have shaped the company for generations.
