Lower energy consumption. Greater responsibility: J.D. Neuhaus is measurably reducing its environmental footprint
At the J.D. Neuhaus Group, environmental sustainability is not just a buzzword, but remains an integral part of our daily activities – both at our headquarters in Witten and at our subsidiaries. Since 2023, we have been able to significantly reduce our consumption at our main location in Witten: gas consumption fell by 19%, water consumption by 30% and electricity consumption by 9% (2023 to 2025 respectively).
We are achieving this progress through the use of state-of-the-art digital heating control systems, the consistent expansion of energy-efficient LED lighting and continuous awareness measures that sensitise our employees and processes to the responsible use of energy and resources.
At the same time, we are investing specifically in further efficiency potential: in our new innovation centre, we are currently implementing extensive structural measures in the existing building – including completely new façades, a modern heating system and new energy-efficient windows.
This development is transparent and already documented in our sustainability reports. The results for 2025 will also be published in the upcoming voluntary sustainability report, making them accessible to customers, partners and stakeholders.
Our goal is clear: lower consumption, fewer emissions – and sustainable improvements that have a long-term impact.
