Nature Conservation Right on Our Doorstep
J.D. Neuhaus is supporting NAWIT (Naturschutzgruppe Witten e.V.) in the restoration of a natural pond on Menkenstraße in Witten Heven Dorf, in the immediate vicinity of our headquarters.
The pond is located in the area of the former Ruhr floodplains and has been cleared of dense vegetation and deposits. These measures will enhance the ecological value of the area and provide better conditions for native amphibians, insects and other wildlife in the future.
J.D. Neuhaus and NAWIT have been working together for several years. Joint initiatives, such as our bird conservation project and the ecological enhancement of our green spaces, have developed into a close partnership.
We are therefore pleased to support this local project with a donation. For us, sustainability and nature conservation are not only about large scale projects, but also about taking concrete action right in our local community.
