With the expansion of our environmental initiatives, the renaturation of our green spaces is steadily progressing. An important focus of our efforts is the promotion of biodiversity and the creation of habitats for native wildlife.
In collaboration with the Witten Nature Conservation Group, we have installed a total of 35 nesting boxes for various bird species on our company premises. Our goal is to contribute to the preservation of local ecosystems and actively support regional nature conservation efforts.
As part of this commitment, we recently installed a new nesting box for kestrels on our roof. To make use of existing resources, we reused an old pallet from our shipping department as a mounting base and filled the nesting boxes with wood chips from our sawing machine. This approach reflects our commitment to sustainability by integrating recycled materials into our environmental initiatives.
