Sustainable responsibility since 1745
Sustainability
Sustainability is an integral part of JDN’s DNA. Durable products, regional supply chains and the combination of ecological, social and economic responsibility are at the heart of everything we do.

Shaping the future
Living responsibility – ecologically, socially, economically
It is in our DNA as a family business to act sustainably. Just as sustainability aims to secure intergenerational viability, it is also our constant endeavour not only to pass the company on to the next generation, but to do so in the best possible way. This is also clearly reflected in our JDN approach: “At J.D. Neuhaus, it is a tradition to think ahead. To improve. To find new solutions. To act sustainably. To be progressive.” This means implementing processes and actions in harmony with the environment, focusing on long-term economic efficiency as well as social justice, educational opportunities and equal opportunities. This results in our aspiration to be the most successful and sustainable manufacturer of hoisting solutions, while placing people at the centre of our activities. For J.D. Neuhaus, sustainable business practices combined with active social and environmental responsibility are the clear path to future success.

Acting with foresight
Sustainability in everyday life at JDN
At J.D. Neuhaus, sustainability does not begin on paper, but in our daily actions. In development, production and cooperation, we consistently work to conserve resources, avoid emissions and promote the use of the latest technologies.
As a family-run company, JDN takes responsibility – for people, regions and perspectives. This attitude is reflected in value-based corporate management with clear principles, a high degree of transparency and active compliance.

Continuous improvement
Potential identified in concrete terms
Our commitment to continuous improvement is a central component of our corporate philosophy. In 2022, we voluntarily published a global sustainability report in accordance with GRI standards for the first time – even though we are not legally obliged to do so. The focus is not on annual reporting, but on the goal of initiating sustainable change based on reliable data – such as our carbon footprint (Scope 1 and 3) according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol – and in close dialogue with our sites and stakeholders. For us, the report is not an end in itself, but a tool with which we want to challenge ourselves in a targeted manner, uncover blind spots and leverage concrete potential for improvement.

Find out more about our goals and progress in our latest sustainability report for the 2024 financial year.
